Guangzhou, Hong Kong and Macao University Students Music Exchange Camp

On May 15th, the “Fashionable Lingnan·Leyang” Universe-city Guangzhou-Hong Kong-Macau College Student Band Competition Exchange Camp was successfully held in Panyu Yiyi Valley Art Ecological Park. This exchange camp is one of the music sections of “Same Roots, Same Dream” – 2016 Guangzhou, Hong Kong, and Macao Youth “Fashion Lingnan” series activities, organized by the Guangzhou Youth Federation, Guangzhou Municipal People’s Government Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office, Guangzhou Overseas Friendship Association, Guangzhou Federation of Literary and Art Circles.

Twenty-four contestants from college student bands from Guangzhou, Hong Kong, and Macao participated in this music exchange camp.

The itinerary of this exchange camp was rich and substantial, and the group game session allowed the participating young people from Guangzhou, Hong Kong, and Macao to build a friendship. Students comprehend the rhythm of the music, follow the instructor’s movements, and let the music be with you and me!

In the afternoon, the students reviewed the selection of the band competition from the 16th to the top 8 knockout rounds. Well-known folk musicians A Yu and Aqi from Guangzhou and Hong Kong shared their music experience on the spot, so that the young people of the three places can gain experience.

Students from various schools gathered together with passion and dreams for music, interacted and communicated, gained friendship and improved professional skills. The teams that advanced to the finals were particularly active in the event. They said that they were greatly inspired by the guidance of the two teachers, and they were full of expectations and confidence in the finals. At the same time, they met more like-minded friends in the exchange camp , you can have in-depth discussions and exchanges on common favorite music topics.

And that night, in the Starry Sky Bar of the Yiyi Valley Park, the music live show, which was freely composed and impromptu by students, brought the atmosphere of the exchange camp to a climax. The participants of this event are all “musicians” who have just made friends. Regardless of whether they are performing professionally or not, they can feel the joy that music brings to them. They can also use music as a medium to further strengthen the relationship between Guangzhou, Hong Kong, and Macao. youth exchange.

After the event, the friends bid farewell. Although the exchange camp is over, the journey of this group of music youths to pursue their dreams has just begun!
